Sensible is wise. Sensible gets you all of the things that society tells you that you need and you (critical of society) decide you want, but definitely not for the reasons society gives you. Sensible means you’re always safe and the only question is whether or not you’re going to need those handrails you’ always had to either side of you. A sensible risk is one with a gain that is both likely and greater than the bruised ego you’d get in the event of failure. Sensible is a track with deceptive twists and loops that will always return you to the boarding platform - to a full stop - where you can unbuckle and step away. I think I’ll board this ride with a jetpack.

Another zero-art entry!  Sorry.  But this matter of the US dropping manned space missions has me thinking.  I really don’t care about the manned missions.  We’ve really gotten more information about space from UNmanned missions.  Cutting the program WILL save the country money (though not as much as ohhhhh NOT being in three wars!?!), but goddamnit, if they pull the plug on the Webb Telescope, I will be PISSED OFF.  They’re already considering it, last I heard and that’s just… very alarming to me.  It is designed to be 100 times more powerful than the Hubble.  One Hundred.  That’s a lot of times.  I want that to happen, damnit!

Okay, admittedly harsh there.  I liked Harry Potter when it was more of a kids’ series… so like… 1-3.  I EVEN could have liked it all the way through if she’d ended it better.  Alas.  BUT.  I’m not heartbroken.  Robin Hobb is still writing and she knows how to do that!  AND I got a Brandon Sanderson novel to start when I’m done re-reading Hobb annnd an Ursula K. LeGuin book for after thaaat AND this new one I just pulled off a shelf on a whim: People of the Lightening by Kathleen O’Neal Gear and W. Michael Gear.  I dunno, but I’m givin’ it a shot.  Sooo… I’m good.
